Find Your Perfect Shutter Style

Whether you’re looking for maximum privacy, flexible light control or a stylish solution for an unusual window, there’s a shutter style to suit your home.

Full Height Shutters

Full height shutters are a timeless choice, designed to cover the entire height of your window or door for a clean and elegant finish. They’re the most requested shutter style in the supplier range and work with a wide variety of window and door designs.

For added flexibility, a divider rail or hidden split can be incorporated, allowing the upper and lower slats to be adjusted independently. Matching the shutter panels to the individual panes of your window can also create beautifully balanced lines and a neat, fitted appearance.

Ideal for: Living rooms, bedrooms, bay windows, doors and larger windows.

Café Style Shutters

Café style shutters cover only the lower section of your window, leaving the upper part completely open. They’re a great option when you want additional privacy at eye level without covering the whole window.

Inspired by traditional Parisian cafés, this style can also add a distinctive design feature to a room. Curtains or blinds can be used alongside café shutters where additional coverage is required in the evening.

Ideal for: Street-facing windows, living rooms, kitchens and rooms where you want privacy without covering the whole window.

Tier-on-Tier Shutters

Tier-on-tier shutters give you excellent flexibility by dividing the shutters into separate upper and lower sections. Each tier can be opened and closed independently, meaning you can adjust the amount of coverage throughout the day.

They work particularly well with taller windows, including traditional Victorian-style windows. The upper panels are designed to be regularly opened back, while the lower shutters can remain closed where additional privacy is wanted.

Ideal for: Tall windows, period properties, bay windows and rooms where flexible privacy is important.

Shaped Shutters

Not every window is square or rectangular, and bespoke shaped shutters allow you to make a feature of more unusual architecture rather than covering it up.

Shutters can be manufactured for a variety of shapes including arches, circles and triangular windows, with different slat and panel arrangements available to suit the opening. The range can even accommodate skylights using specially tapered Velux frames.

Ideal for: Arched windows, gable windows, triangular windows, circular windows, skylights and unusual architectural features.

Solid Shutters

Solid shutters replace traditional slats with solid panels, creating a completely different look from classic plantation-style shutters. They can suit both traditional and contemporary interiors, from the character of a French farmhouse through to the more formal appearance of a Georgian townhouse.

Solid shutters provide the best in-room darkness within the shutter range, although the panels need to be opened back during the day to let light into the room. Combination shutters are also available, bringing together solid sections and traditional slatted sections to provide more flexibility.

Ideal for: Bedrooms, period properties and homeowners looking for a more traditional statement shutter.

Track System Shutters

Track systems are designed for larger openings where conventional hinged shutters may not be the most practical solution. They work particularly well across wide glazed areas such as large doors and can even be used as stylish room dividers.

The shutter panels move smoothly along a discreet track system, making larger installations easier to open and close. Options include hinged bifolding panels, free-moving hinged pairs and a double-track bypass system that allows panels to slide past one another.

Ideal for: Bi-fold doors, patio doors, large glazed openings and room dividers.

Light Reducing Shutters & Blinds

For rooms where controlling light is particularly important, the supplier's Shutter&Blind system combines traditional shutter panels with an integrated light-reducing blind positioned within the frame behind them.

This allows you to enjoy the appearance and flexibility of shutters while achieving almost complete room darkness when required. The additional blind also provides extra insulation, helping the room stay cooler during summer and warmer during winter.

Ideal for: Bedrooms, nurseries and rooms where reducing outside light is a priority.

Choose Your Slat Size

The supplier offers 64mm, 76mm, 89mm and 114mm slats. Smaller slats give a more traditional look, while larger slats create a more contemporary appearance. The brochure highlights 76mm and 89mm as particularly versatile options for use throughout a home.
